Before the first ball
Create a match
Teams, Playing XI, captain and keeper, overs and venue.
A match can stand alone or belong to a tournament. Matches in a tournament feed its points table and leaderboards.
The match wizard
On the website open Dashboard›Matches and create a match. The wizard has seven steps:
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| Teams | Pick Team A and Team B. |
| Players | Choose each team's Playing XI from its squad. Add a player on the spot if someone is missing. |
| Roles | Mark the Captain and Wicket Keeper for each side. |
| Details | Venue name, location, date, total overs, format, and the most overs one bowler may bowl. |
| Overlays | Pick a look for the stream overlay. Optional — you can change it later. |
| Toss | Record the toss, or skip and do it at the ground. |
| Review | Check everything and create the match. |
In the app
The app walks through the same choices in order: select teams, squads, roles, match details and powerplay, then the toss. In match details you also choose the ball type (leather, tennis or other) and can add officials — scorers, umpires and a live streamer.
Settings to get right
Overs and bowler limit
The bowler limit is enforced while scoring: a bowler who has used their quota can't be picked again. Leave it empty for no limit.
Format
Most matches use six-ball overs. For five-ball sets (The Hundred) and other match types, see Match formats.
Set up the night before
Create the match with teams and Playing XI in advance. On the day you only need the toss.
