Finishing

Super over

Break a tie with an ICC-style super over, as many times as needed.

When a match ends in a tie, CricFlow offers a super over, following ICC playing conditions.

Rules

  • Each side faces one over of six legal balls. Wides and no-balls don't use up a ball.
  • A side's super over ends early on the second wicket.
  • The chasing side wins as soon as it passes the target.
  • The side that batted second in the match bats first in the super over.
  • If the super over is also tied, another one is played. In each repeat, batters dismissed and the bowler used in the previous super over can't take part, and the bowling end swaps.

Play a super over

  1. Start it from the tie screen

Choose Super Over when the match ties.

  2. Pick the players

Choose the batters and the bowler. Only eligible players are offered.

  3. Score it like any over

Everything — undo, extras, wickets, commentary and overlays — works exactly as in the main innings.

To finish without a super over, choose End as tie.

Stats and NRR

The super over has its own scorecard. Its runs and balls are left out of net run rate, and by default out of career stats. The main match scorecard is never changed by the super over.
