Overview

How live scoring works

The scoring model, what updates live, and what happens behind each ball.

Live scoring in CricFlow is ball by ball. The scorer records each delivery, and everything else — the scorecard, partnerships, run rates, commentary, overlays, standings and player stats — is worked out from those balls automatically.

What happens when you score a ball

  1. You tap the outcome

Runs, an extra, or a wicket — from the app or the web scoring screen.

  2. CricFlow saves it on the server

The ball, both scorecards, extras and the innings total are updated together. Either all of it saves or none of it does, so the score can't end up half-updated.

  3. Everyone sees it

Within a second, the public match page, the app, commentary and any stream overlays update for everyone watching.

Built for match day

  • Two scorers, no duplicates. If two devices score at the same moment, CricFlow handles the balls one after another, so the same ball is never counted twice.
  • Mistakes are easy to fix. Undo removes the last ball and every effect it had. See Undo and corrections.
  • Switch devices any time. The match lives on the server, so you can move from phone to laptop between overs.
