Budgets and bid increments
Team purses, base prices, increment ladders and squad limits.
Budgets
Every franchise starts with the same credit limit per team. When a player is sold, the price comes off the buying franchise's budget straight away, and every screen updates.
CricFlow refuses a sale if the franchise can't afford it or its squad is already full, so the auctioneer can never oversell.
Need to change a budget?
An organiser can adjust a franchise's budget from the Squads & Budgets view, for example to apply a penalty or a sponsor bonus.
Currency
Budgets can be in ₹ Rs, Points, Credits, Coins or None. Rupee amounts are shown in the Indian style, such as ₹1.5L or ₹2Cr.
Base price
The opening price for a player. Set a default for everyone, then change it per player or per set — for example a higher base price for marquee players.
Bid increments
Every new bid must be at least the current bid plus the increment. You can use a single flat increment, or a ladder that raises the step as the price climbs — the way a real auctioneer works.
Example ladder
| Current bid | Next bid must add |
|---|---|
| Below 5,000 | 500 (the minimum bid increment) |
| 5,000 – 9,999 | 1,000 (tier: after 5,000) |
| 10,000 and above | 2,000 (tier: after 10,000) |
- The tier that applies is the highest one the current bid has reached.
- Below the first tier, the flat minimum increment applies.
- You can add up to 20 tiers.
The control room, franchise phones and keyboard shortcuts all follow the same ladder, and the server always has the final say.
Squad limits
Set the minimum and maximum players per team and the reserve players per team. A franchise at its maximum can't buy more players, whether by bidding, RTM, retention or allotment.
