Players

Retained and pre-allotted players

Keep players from last season, use RTM, and allot players before the auction.

Retained players

Franchises can keep players from a previous season before the auction. A retained player goes straight into that franchise's squad at the retention price, which comes off its budget. Retained players appear in the Retained list.

Right to Match (RTM)

In a second-season auction, when a player who played for a franchise last season is about to be sold to someone else, their previous franchise can use RTM to match the winning bid and keep them.

  • The auctioneer applies it with the RTM button, or the M key.
  • The price is the winning bid, and it comes off the previous franchise's budget.

Pre-allotted players

Allot a player to a franchise without bidding — for example the franchise's icon player or captain. You can allot at a set price, or at 0 so it doesn't affect the budget.

  • You can mark the player as the team's Icon or Captain. Each franchise has at most one of each.
  • Allotting respects squad limits — a full squad can't take another player.
